Pauline Murray
Pauline Murray (born 1958) is an author and musician, best known for fronting the punk band Penetration and the group Invisible Girls. Recently, Pauline has released an auto- biography titles Life’s A Gamble in which she details her life from the pit village Ferryhill (County Durham) to the punk scene, she also runs Polestar Studios in Byker.
1976: Penetration was formed, with Pauline Murray as the front woman.
1978: Penetrations first single Don’t Dictate is released on vinyl
1980: The album Pauline Murray and The Invisible Girls is released and reached number 25 on the UK Albums Chart.
2011: Murray established Polestar Studios, in Byker, a space for musicians and bands to rent out rehearsal/recording spaces.
2013: Murray embarked on a series of solo acoustic gigs around the North East
2020/21: The solo album, Elemental was released by Murray.
2023: Life’s a Gamble: My Life in Penetration and the Invisible Girls, Pauline Murray’s auto-biography is released.
