What's On

Currently, Pink-collar Gallery doesn't have our own space so we are popping up at other venues around Sunderland. Check out what we have on offer!

Currently on display at Hills Art Centre -  Collective Pulse: Art in Action.

Pink-collar Gallery proudly presents Collective Pulse: Art in Action, an exhibition series exploring activism, underrepresentation, and social equality through the themes of Environment, Community, Neurodivergence, and LGBTQIA+. Hosted at Hills Art Centre in Sunderland, this powerful series will bring together 16 artists whose work engages with both personal and collective stories, reflecting the gallery’s commitment to social change through art.

This exhibition brings together artists and collectives whose work explores the many ways community is formed, remembered, and reimagined. Through photography, printmaking, painting, and participatory practice, these artists reflect on how shared stories, care, place, and creative expression shape collective identity.

From visual storytelling rooted in working-class heritage to collaborative workshops that centre feminist discourse, each contribution speaks to the importance of inclusion, dialogue, and representation. These works do not simply depict community—they emerge from it, are made within it, and offer it back to the public as a space for connection and reflection.
